SaigonDay 1

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. When you arrive, we will be greeted by one of our team who will transfer you to your hotel. Check in and have a delicious meal freshen up. In the afternoon we will get the first time to explore Vietnam. You will visit Ba Dinh Square which is famous for the place where most political events like demonstrations and local cultural events are held. Its the biggest open space in Hanoi. We shall visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex which includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. On this quest to find out the legend whom after the city was named after, we shall also see the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, one-pillar Pagoda, and the amazing Temple of Literature. This amazing attraction is considered the first university of Vietnam. Later we will have a city tour around the capital Hanoi and visit around Old Quarter of Hanoi, the Hoan Kiem Lake- the Sword lake. We will then wonder among the locals enjoying their culture.

We will then be transferred back to your hotel for our overnight.


Day 2

Paddy fields VietnamWe will wake up to a buffet breakfast and then after head out to the countryside south of Hanoi. We will drive 90 km down south to Ninh Binh which was one of the capital cities of Vietnam before it was changed to Hanoi in the 11th Century.

This area is a cultural Hotspot with us visiting the Tam Coc caves, Hoa Lu Capital, with one of the oldest temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le who ruled during the 10th Century. We will go on a boat trip in Tam Coc where we shall witness the scenic limestone karsts that jut out of the calm waters and paddy green fields reminiscent of Halong Bay of Vietnam.

We will have lunch at a local restaurant. Then we will visit Bich Dong Pagoda and in the afternoon we will go Hoa Lu ancient capital to the sacred temples.

Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight


Buffalos in VietnamDay 3

Today we will have breakfast at the hotel then check out and head east, diving into Halong Bay. This is a UNESCO-designated Natural World Heritage area known for its beauty.  The drive will lead us through the rural countryside where we will witness farmers ploughing their fields with buffaloes, planting seedlings, and weeding the land.

We will check in on a cruise boat and enjoy more of this amazing area. Halong Bay is also known as the Gulf of Tonkin and is culturally also known as the “Descending Dragons” bay. We will have lunch on board and then visit the Grottos. We will stop for swimming, Kayaking, and interact with the locals on their boats.

In the evening, we will have a cooking demonstration and then enjoy a sumptuous dinner. Overnight o the cruise boat.

 


VietnamDay 4

Today we will wake up to an amazing sunrise at dawn to enjoy the views of the Eastern Seas. The sights are delightful and social media gold! After breakfast our boat will continue to cruise in marvelous areas, where almost every islet has its own name, adopting its shape or reminiscent like Sail Island, Fisherman’s head rock, Butterfly rock or Turtle islet and so much more. We will move around locating these islets ticking them off our list.

We will then check out our rooms and have brunch on board while the cruise comes back to the pier. Disembark from the cruise, and we will be transferred back to Hanoi. We will check in to our hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5

Today after a leisurely breakfast we will check out and go to the airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon. We will meet our representative who will take us to our hotel.
After we check in, we will go on a cultural City tour, to the War Remnants Museum, one of the most famous historical attractions in Asia.
We will do a city tour and visit some of the mot famous historical attractions of Saigon.  We will visit the War Remnants Museum. We will learn about the Vietnamese war for freedom and independence. The exhibits display items such as documents, photographs and even weapons.
We will then visit the Reunification Palace where we will learn more of the fierce Vietnam War that ended in 1975. The grand building today is a Museum and Hall of official receptions.  We will then continue to the nearby the Palace are the Notre Dame Cathedral. The castle was built between 1877-1883 and together with the Central Post Office they mark a major Landmark in the city.  We will then visit the Ben Thanh market for shopping then return to our hotel for overnight in Saigon.

Vietnam BridgeDay 6

Today we will visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, which are over a network of 200kms tunnels that were legendary in the Vietnam War. They were functioning underground cities with numerous trap doors, specifically constructed storage facilities, living areas, field hospitals, command centers, kitchens, weapon factories and so much more!
We will then return to Saigon and have the rest of the day at leisure.  Enjoy shopping and interacting with the locals.
